Curriculum

At Govardhan English Medium School, we emphasize a child’s all-round development. For us, extra-curricular activities and spiritual knowledge are as important as academics. We aim to discover our students’ hidden talents and refine their abilities to achieve excellence in their respective fields. Finding a balance between teacher-directed activities and child-centric learning is important. Young children learn from everything they do because they are naturally curious. They will want to learn more if their explorations and discoveries bring pleasure or success. Our children form attitudes about learning that last a lifetime, which leads to them remaining adventurous learners throughout their lives.

Since 2020, the school has been permanently affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and follows the SSC Syllabus. Stress is laid on competencies and skills where academics are concerned.

The school academic year begins in April and comprises two terms, April to September and October to March. In addition to academic subjects, our curriculum also includes subjects such as arts & crafts, bhajans, games, yoga, drama, value education, spiritual discourses, etc. for all-round development.

Sanskrit is taught from class VI to class X. It gives an insight into Vedic Culture and forms a good base for those hoping to pursue the study of Vedic Scriptures in the future. To enable the students to be well-versed with the predominant local language, Marathi is introduced as a compulsory subject.

Kindergarten

The school employs a child-centric approach, focusing on each child’s attention, retention, logic, and imagination. We assess progress through informal methods like classwork and observations, issuing biannual progress reports. We also have a no-detention policy for pre-primary classes.

Primary & Secondary

Our curriculum empowers students to express their ideas and fosters teamwork through group discussions, projects, hands-on activities, and educational tours. Teachers guide and facilitate this process, blending Indian culture and modern education to support holistic physical, intellectual, psychological, and spiritual growth.
